Isuzu D-Max refreshed for 2024

News and General

Isuzu has revealed the updated 2024 D-MAX range.

It includes a revised line-up of variants including the new X-Rider. The entire range has improvements to design, multimedia and safety.

The company says “New Zealand’s toughest ute is better than ever before”.

The 2024 D-Max has an entire-new look front end which incorporates a newly designed bumper, grille and headlights. The LS and X-Terrain models benefit from revised alloy wheel styles and the taillights and rear tailgate have also been refreshed for 2024.

In addition, Namibu Orange has been added to the exterior colour palette and a ‘hexapod’ trim design is now found throughout the interior.

Powering all variants of the 2024 D-MAX is Isuzu’s 4JJ3 engine. Featuring 3.0L of displacement combined with a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT), the engine makes 140kW of grunt and 450Nm of torque. This combination provides competitive fuel economy and low emissions and a class-leading 3,500 kg of braked towing capacity.

Paired with the 3.0L diesel is a six-speed automatic transmission, which is standard across the entire 2024 D-MAX range. A six-speed manual transmission is available as a no-cost option on selected variants.

The 4WD models feature a low-range transfer case and locking rear differential. Off-road capability is further bolstered by the new Rough Terrain Mode function.

A newly developed infotainment system features an entirely new graphic and user interface, with increased processing speed and better usability. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the entire range. The higher specification grades in the range have a newly introduced 7” TFT Multi-Information Display (MID).

The 2024 D-MAX, like its predecessor, has achieved a five-star ANCAP safety rating. The new model includes an updated suite of IDAS active safety functions facilitated by a new ADAS stereo camera which improves the parameters of the active safety features which are included on every new D-MAX.

The X-Rider applies cues from the range topping X-Terrain to the LS-M variant. X-Rider includes a tonneau cover, sports bar and exclusive alloy wheels.
